Linsey Dawn McKenzie Interview, Big Ones International magazine, 1996

When I think of Linsey Dawn McKenzie (which being a randy old git is often, I must admit!), it brings to mind the old Carry On gag about the doctor who is given the job of examining a very busty young schoolgirl. He asks her to take her blouse off and, holding his stethoscope against her chest, he instructs, “Big breaths!” To which she giggles and replies, “I know - and I’m only thickthteen!” Linsey’s breasts are not just big. To put it mildly, they’re bloody enormous! And these wondrous wobblers didn’t come out of a Silicon Valley catologue. They’re completely natural. Home grown, so to speak. Makes you proud to be British, doesn’t it?
“I was an early developer;” she explains tartly. “My tits started coming up when I was 12 or 13, and all the boys started chasing me around. I used to like playing football or netball, but I had to give up because the teachers got fed up with the lads crowding round to watch the matches ...”
We can safely assume the teachers were female, then. Linsey may never model for Playboy because her looks are all about grab-you-by-the goolies sex appeal rather than plastic surgery-enhanced perfection. Linsey is a real person, not a plastic fantasy lady. In conversation she is refreshingly open, just a typical London girl who left school early with an all-consuming desire to succeed in the modelling business. And her qualifications were impeccable!
Linsey’s rise to modelling superstardom was meteoric. She’s just 18 years old now, and has never been out of the limelight since she first unveiled those titanic threepenny bits on her sixteenth birthday. “I always wanted to be a model,” explains Linsey. “Any sort of model really. I didn’t plan on doing nude work, but once I grew these big boobs then I thought, well, I’ve got the assets so I might as well use them.”
She admits to owing the biggest debt of gratitude to top glamour snapper Jon Graham, the South African-born guru behind that haven for bra-busting babes, the Double D video label. “Jon is like a father to me,” says Linsey.
She goes on to describe how, when she first went along to see Jon at the age of 15, he took one look at her amazing 34GG-23-31 measurements and immediately put her under contract.
“He started off with bikini shots,” she explains, “because I was too young to do anything more explicit. Then he contacted a porno newspaper and they got all excited about me as well. It was really good, because they made a big thing of me stripping off for my 16th birthday. They had a countdown in the paper; sort of like, ‘Six weeks to go and this bra will be off!’ Good, really.”
Linsey was born in Wembley and still lives around the same area. “I was always an outgoing type, a bit of a wild child, really.” Clearly this was a girl who enjoyed a bit of exhibitionism, and still does. “I love it when people recognise me in the street now,” she giggles. “They shout, ‘Get yer tits out!’ Some of them come after me to autograph their chests or their shirts ...”
Not only do her family approve, they also support her one hundred percent. Sister Alison does a bit of nude modelling herself, and Linsey’s mum runs her fan club and mail out knickers, bras and porn mags, etc. to adoring fans. She is proud of the fact that she was the first UK glamour girl to start up her own fan club.
“It’s really successful,” she gushes. “I started it two years ago and I now have over a thousand members. I have headed notepaper with my picture on, and everything ... it’s £15 to join for a year. They get a quarterly newsletter; signed pictures, letters and special videos as well. They also get merchandise, bum bags and knickers and bras and all sorts. They can ask for whatever they like. You can say that all the juicy info comes straight to them first!”
Okay Linsey, where do I subscribe?
“Write to Box 300, 10 Suffolk House, George Street, Croydon CR0 1PE.”
Linsey sensibly realises that her modelling days won’t last forever; and she’s making hay while the sun shines.
“People who aren’t in this business think it’s easy. But it’s very hard work,” she explains. “When I started, I was so busy that six months went by without me getting a day off. I’ve been saving for my house and I’ve just bought a new car. I’m saving for a £200,000 mortgage. My house is full of things I’ve bought since I’ve been modelling. And I started with nothing. It’s beautiful.”
Apart from having flashed those bounteous boobs between the covers of just about every men’s mag on the market, Linsey has also done a fair bit of video work.
“I’m doing one at the moment which is set in the 1920s and it has me running around in fast motion in a 1920s dress, sort of stripping as I go, and then I’ve got a hat over my fanny and I pull it away, and you don’t see nothing because it cuts out, and says, ‘Insert another coin’, like one of those old What The Butler Saw machines! I also enjoyed the films I did for Liquid Gold, where they always call me Schoolgirl Stripper or something like that. I’ll probably still be called a schoolgirl stripper when I’m in my twenties!”
It’s plain from meeting Linsey that she’s wise beyond her years and can look after herself a lot better than most men.
“I don’t let anyone take the piss,” she says succinctly. “I’ve had some unpleasant experiences. But not really to do with modelling. There was one time when I got ripped off by The News Of The World. It was a kiss and tell story I was trying to sell them about my relationship with Dean Gaffney, who plays Robbie in Eastenders. They offered me a lot of money for the story and kept me in hiding so no other newspaper could contact me. And then, because The People used a bit as well, which I didn’t tell them about, that was it, I lost all the money because it was supposed to be an exclusive.” Recently she hit the headlines again with a much-published fling with footballer Dean Holdsworth. “I don’t want to talk about that,” she says firmly. “I thought he was a nice bloke, and I wasn’t very happy with the way he rubbished me in the papers. The press made me out to be a marriage wrecker, and I’m not. The only thing I would like to say is that it takes two to tango, if you know what I mean ...”
Finally, I ask the question that all you lot want to have answered. Has Linsey ever done any hardcore filming, and if so, where can we get the evidence? “I’m always being asked that,” she responds, “and the answer is no.” Sorry guys. But that doesn’t mean she won’t go all the way in the future. With a material girl like Linsey, it’s all a matter of economics. “At the moment I’m being hassled to do some stronger American shots,” she explains. “But I have to say no for now because I’ve got to wait for the money to go up, haven’t I? After all once you've done that you can't go back.”
Well, she'll never be sixteen again. But I have the feeling she’ll be around for quite a while.
